The Two Pillars of SEO Outsourcing

Does it ever feel like you are the one-man-band type of business?

Even for entrepreneurs with employees, it can often feel like all the responsibilities fall on the head (or solo) honcho, but they don’t have to.

One of the many elements of an online business that entrepreneurs with little time but extra cash can take off their plate is search engine optimization (SEO). While SEO might seem tricky to hand off to an outside helper, there are ways to do so seamlessly by hiring out services trained to work with online business owners and entrepreneurs.

Two of the biggest elements of outsourcing SEO tend to be content and link-building. But with the help of agencies trained in both, you can more easily delegate SEO to the pros, allowing you to work on the parts of your business that you want to focus on.

Before You Outsource

If you don’t already have long-term plans for your website or business, it might be a good time to start. Consider how and where you would like your business to evolve in the next one, three, six, and 12 months. How do you envision it scaling? What will need to happen for those things to occur?

While many online entrepreneurs begin blogging, writing, and creating all the content for their website, growing and scaling a larger site requires outsourcing to other content creators sooner or later.

However, the keyword research required for doing this should be done by you, the business owner, as it is most crucial to making sure the SEO plan is successful. Whether it is for your blog content, site copy, category pages, or product descriptions, you should have a keen understanding of the desired keywords so when you hand off the work to another person, the collaboration is easier for everyone involved. While some services offer keyword research as part of the package, you should also plan to make it part of your work before reaching out.

Once you have some definitive goals in mind and a firm grasp on the keywords for your site, you can turn your attention to finding the best people for the job.

Content Providers

The cornerstone of any good SEO strategy is high-quality content.

Sure, you could go slogging through Fiverr or Upwork for a decent content writer, but if you’re looking to save time, chances are you don’t have enough for that. Plus, for a long-term partnership, the security of a full agency may give you peace of mind that is tougher for individual freelancers to provide.

Content providers can be the perfect solution to this problem. Here we’ll look at three content providers you might consider, as well as some pros and cons of each.

Word Agents

As a “content creation team,” Word Agents works with you to understand the vision of your company and your content goals, then researches, develops, reviews, and delivers the content to you, with follow-ups about the success of the content or campaign.

Pros:

  • Project manager
  • Native English writers
  • High-quality content

Cons:

  • More expensive

Human Proof Designs

Aimed at affiliate marketers, Human Proof Designs helps online business owners, new and seasoned, to create affiliate sites and content that convert. Their services include creating a website as well as providing training and support.

Pros:

  • Affordable
  • Provides stellar Amazon reviews

Cons:

  • Very focused on affiliate websites; may not be the right fit for some online entrepreneurs

Content Refined

A fairly new player on the scene, Content Refined is an “end-to-end” content marketing agency. Depending on your needs, they have content creation and management packages that include keyword research, as well as standalone “packages” of posts for purchase.

Pros:

  • Project manager
  • One-stop shop

Cons:

  • Not a lot of proven results yet

Link-Building Services

Apart from having great content that attracts readers and visitors to your site, you also need to have strong links between your site and others.

Many services claim they help site owners build quality links, but you should pay close attention whether you’re using a white or gray hat service, depending on your preferences and the amount of risk you are comfortable with. Generally speaking, white hat services use strictly above board methods of building links, while grey hat ones might skirt around Google’s rules in doing so.

Here we have two providers of link-building services worth checking out.

The Link Service (Formerly Known as Diggity Links)

If you’re OK with the notion of gray hat link-building, you might consider working with a company like the Link Service. They provide private blog networks, or PBNs, to sites in order to help them improve their ranking on Google.

There are mixed reviews as to the legitimacy and success of those working with such link providers. At the same time, Google is always on the lookout to crack down on these methods. Simply proceed with caution if you decide to go the gray hat route.

Reach Creator

The white hat link-building source we recommend is Reach Creator. Since they are an above-board operation, their prices are more expensive than some competitors, but may be worth it given the long-term benefits of the links.

Reach Creator also works closely with Word Agents (the content provider listed above) in creating linkable assets for their clients.

Save Time by Hiring an Agency for SEO

Love it or hate it, SEO is necessary for any successful online business, and it requires a high level of attention to detail and professional acumen. However, it does not have to be on the to-do list of the often busiest person in the company––you.

While SEO outsourcing is more expensive than the DIY option, the time saved from working with an agency can solve a problem that many online entrepreneurs face.

If you are finding yourself stretched too thin, without enough time to dedicate to SEO, think about employing a professional agency to help you write your content, build links, or both.

By getting some help from professionals who know what they’re doing, you will finally have time to see the results you’ve been looking for.

Thanks so much for the mention, guys. WordAgents appreciates it!

You’ve got a nice array of suggested services here.

I haven’t used The Link Service or Content Refined myself…. but I DO wholeheartedly recommend Human Proof Designs (sometimes you just gotta show some love to the competition) and Reach Creator’s services!

Aside from our business relationship with Reach Creator, I have been using them personally on ALL of the sites in my portfolio. And, to be honest…there’s zero reason for me to look elsewhere. Thoses guys know how to build high-quality, Google-friendly links at scale.

Maybe get you on an EF Live soon to talk about content creation in general Vin!
